This is a mask we used in our film to give our antagonist a unique, mystifying yet terrifying identity. This is an important prop as we want it to play a big part in scaring the audience. Furthermore we also want this mask to symbolise the horror genre so when an audience member sees it they instantly associate it with horror. Furthermore important and iconic imagery like this can give a film franchise a big life expectancy such as films like Nightmare on Elm Street with its use of Freddy Krueger's imagery and Saw with its use of imagery for its recurring character Billy the Puppet.
